CABIN: Hands-On “Gelli” Printing Workshop with Melanie Yazzie

As a printmaker, painter, and sculptor, Melanie Yazzie’s work draws upon her rich Diné (Navajo) cultural heritage. Her work follows the Diné dictum “walk in beauty” literally, creating beauty and harmony. During Yazzie’s visit to CSU, she will host a Hands-on Gelli Printing workshop at CABIN and give an artist lecture in the Visual Arts Building.

At the upcoming virtual PLHC brown bag, alumnus Alex Miller will speak about his experience navigating the mid-COVID job market and how roles outside of the field of history benefit from a historian's perspective. Nontraditional jobs, as Alex will discuss, often provide unexpected opportunities to use and strengthen the academic skills graduate students learn in the classroom.
Slow Art Day 2022
Join the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art for Slow Art Day 2022, a global event that celebrates looking at and loving art! Slow Art Day is an annual event held on the first Saturday in April that invites visitors to look at specific works for ten minutes each. Participants are then encouraged to meet and discuss their experience. It's that simple!
