Writing philosophically is tantamount to thinking philosophically, but because philosophy makes certain rigorous demands on the writer, the process by which we produce good philosophical writing can be challenging. In order to become more confident writers, we must have knowledge of the proper compositional and analytical strategies. This being so, Dr. Domenica Romagni will be giving a special talk that aims to provide guidance, tips, and clarifications for all students who are expected to write philosophically. Come learn to write like a philosopher with a professional!

Guest Artist: TexiCali Trio / FREE

The TexiCali Trio concert features music written and arranged for two trombones and piano, including Karen Marston, professor of music at Mount San Antonio College (California) and Deb Scott, professor of trombone at Stephen F. Austin State University (Texas). The group is a natural extension of the long-standing friendship between Deb and Karen, who met in 1999, and started collaborating on recitals and commissions. Since 2021, TexiCali has performed at the International Trombone Festival, the International Women’s Brass Conference, and numerous university recitals.

We look forward to meeting you at an upcoming on-campus or virtual visit. Prospective students (high school juniors, seniors, transfer students, and current CSU students) will meet dance faculty and current dance majors. The itinerary includes an overview of our dance program, excerpts from our upcoming Dance Concert performed in our dance spaces, and teaching demonstrations by CSU Dance faculty for prospective students to observe or participate in. Prospective students (and parents/guardians) will have an opportunity to ask questions of the faculty and current students during a Q&A session.
