POLS- Public Opinion and the Supreme Court March 22 from 11:30-1pm

GAMA’s free Music in the Museum Concert Series explores the cross-fertilization of music and the visual arts through concerts in the galleries. Performances by Colorado State University music faculty and students are enriched with context provided by faculty and students from the Department of Art and Art History and the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.

All undergraduate students in Communication Studies are invited to join our spring alumni panel! On Thursday, March 23 from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Lory Student Center, Room 304-06, Xochitl Ramirez Amaro (’20, Campus Advisor at the Denver Scholarship Foundation ), Andrea Hernandez (’21, Community Outreach and Engagement Specialist at Aurora Community Connection), Kailey Petro (’19, Public Health Account Executive at Fors Marsh), and Luke White (’18, Partner Manager at Walmart Connect) will speak about their careers and professional experience since graduating from CSU. They will also be available to answer student questions.

The Department of Ethnic Studies is excited to share the launch of CollabLab, a collaborative research project with keen attention to the intersection of race, gender, and sexuality that informs a sense of belonging in varied political, cultural, social, economic, and historical contexts. Environmental Justice Two Years Later: Lessons from the U.S.' Largest Ever Investment to End Environmental Racism

Abstract: In 2021, the Biden-Harris Administration launched the largest investment in environmental justice in the history of the U.S. - pledging and allocating hundreds of billions of dollars to combat environmental racism. However, the scale of investment has revealed dimensions of environmental justice that have been neglected in public policy and academia. The neglected dimensions reveal problems that are vexing to solve, whether philosophically, scientifically, or practically. The presentation will review the status of environmental justice in the U.S. today, and recommend pathways forward given what has been learned through two years of growth in resources and policies for environmental justice.
