Jennifer “Jamie” Folsom has devoted her professional life to education, public health and journalism, particularly working with individuals and organizations in Indigenous communities. She is a doctoral candidate at Colorado State University, whose research interests take her to the heart of these three disciplines by asking, “Who is telling our stories?” Her research interests include the intersections of art, communication, technology and popular culture.  Folsom is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Native American Journalists Association, American Indigenous Research Association, CSU’s Native Women’s Circle and North Star Peer Mentoring. She teaches journalism and professional communication.
