Biography

Hello! My name is Emeline (pronounced Em-uh-line) and I use she/her pronouns. I am a first generation college student and originally from Anaheim, California. I received my undergraduate and graduate degree in Organizational Communication from Murray State University in Western Kentucky. I chose to pursue my Ph.D. at Colorado State based on the outstanding department faculty, resources, and atmosphere.  My research interests include gender and generational differences in the organizational environment. I am currently working on a few projects that analyze how gender and generational differences might influence the perception of communication in the workplace through the use of overly casual emails and social media. Outside of academics, I love to explore new places in the mountains and go salsa dancing with my spouse. I also like to cook, read, exercise, and watch lots of Netflix. I have quickly fallen in love with my new home in Colorado and am eager to see where the growth in this esteemed program leads me.
