In February, communication scholars from all over the western US gathered in Phoenix, Arizona for the annual Western States Communication Association (WSCA) conference. Among them were two CSU communication studies majors, Olivia Birg and Izzy Henry.

There are more than 600 prison agricultural programs currently in the United States, but very little data looking at the how, what, and maybe most importantly, why of these programs. Colorado State University’s Prison Agriculture Lab is looking to change that. For the second year in a row, CSU is one of the nation’s top producers of Fulbright U.S. Scholars — professionals, artists and scholars who usually hold faculty appointments — according to a report published in The Chronicle of Higher Education.
