History

Dr. John H. Venable was a beloved member of the faculty at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences who cared about students and cared about learning. Dr. Venable died suddenly at the age of 58. Pat Venable Jungmeyer was a music teacher and has participated in choirs, solo work, piano accompaniment and church music throughout her life. Presently she plays piano with the Stover Street Stompers, a Dixieland Jazz Band. The Venables shared a love of the arts- music, theatre, literature, painting and all things beautiful. They both were recipients of scholarships and grants during their university years and felt strongly about helping young people with their education.
