Tyler started his props journey at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and then went on to continue his education at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he focused on furniture construction, restoration, and conservation. Tyler graduated with his M.F.A. in 2023 and started working in the field for a short time before returning to Colorado to be closer to family and educate the new generation in the field of props. Tyler's favorite phrase regarding props is "Jack of all trades, master of none, but always better than a master of one" because the world of props is ever expanding and one never stops learning while working in props.
