Biography

Lindsay Gagnon studies the rhetoric of death and dying, looking at the institutional structures that shape our relationship with death. She is currently looking at the ways language is used to manufacture the consent of the public for government acts like capital punishment. Lindsay has looked at how funeral homes communicate ideas of “traditional” and “meaningful” to audiences through websites. Lindsay also has an interest in pedagogical research in collegiate forensics.

When not on campus (which isn't often), Lindsay enjoys knitting, rollerskating, and spending time with her cat, Beatrice.
