Biography
Catherine Venegas-Garcia is a graduate student enrolled at Colorado State University. Catherine graduated from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and with a minor in Philosophy. During her time there, she helped co-author multiple research articles and book chapters with her McNair faculty mentor. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Sociology, with an academic interest in police organizations. She plans to pursue research regarding racial and ethnic discrimination from rehired, or “wandering”, police officers.
