Ever wondered, for instance, how you could support a scholarship that could help a deserving student earn a degree? Or, how you could provide a meal for a hungry student? Or, how a few bucks could help boost a program you’ve always wanted to embrace?

Well, your chance is almost here.

On Thursday, April 21, CSU is celebrating Love Your State Day of Giving. All members of the CSU family – alumni, students, employees and friends of the University – are encouraged and invited to come together to provide financial support to programs near and dear to their hearts.

The 24-hour day of giving is part of the annual I Love CSU celebration week.

Last year, 766 Rams donated on the day of giving, providing 2,135 meals through Rams Against Hunger and donating $10,063 to the MYState Scholarship – the primary funds targeted. The goal for this year’s one-day challenge is 1,870 donors.

Liberal Arts Focuses on Visiting Lectures and Artists

Each college has targeted funds it hopes donors will support. The College of Liberal Arts is asking that all donations made on this day be directed to the Ann Gill Visiting Lecture and Artist Endowment.

Through dedicated mentorship and a heart for putting students first, Gill has had a profound impact on the College of Liberal Arts, helping to solidify it as a critical and fundamental component of CSU’s offerings. The ability to bring in guest lecturers and artists through this fund adds to the college’s growing reputation as a premier place to secure a high-caliber, experience-infused liberal arts education.

By giving to the Ann Gill Visiting Lecture and Artist Endowment, donors will honor Dean Gill’s legacy of providing a rich experience to students and the community.

Matching gifts

This year, there is an opportunity to amplify donations and receive up to $121,870 additional dollars in matching gifts. Every gift will make an even bigger impact.

In the College of Liberal Arts alone, the Liberal Arts Development Council has generously stepped up, pledging to match all gifts up to $12,500. With the help of the CSU community on April 21st, the College of Liberal Arts has the opportunity to raise $25,000. Together, the CSU community has the ability to make a big difference in the experience and education of students.

How to Give

Gifts can be made online now through April 21st. A reminder that all gifts made by the end of the day on April 21st, up to $12,500, will double in impact thanks to the generosity of the Liberal Arts Development Council.
