The site of the First Council of Nicaea has been lost for centuries. However, in 2014 aerial photography over Lake Iznik revealed a structure submerged in the waters about fifty meters offshore. Mark Fairchild, Ph.D., joined the team of archeologists working on the site in 2017 and will present his fascinating and important research. Could this basilica be the lost church of the Nicene Creed and the Council of Nicaea?
