The annual Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Thesis Exhibition marks the culmination of a three-year degree program in the visual arts that fosters individual research and creative studio practice. Students in the program focus on a particular area of study and complete a mature body of work in their chosen field. Artwork is situated within the discourse of contemporary art practice.

This paper aims to contribute to developing fruitful connections between animal ethics and feminist philosophy by way of a discussion of ‘worlds’ in the work of philosopher Maria Lugones and biologist Jakob von Uexküll. Lugones’s understanding of worlds and Uexküll’s zoosemiotic approach to an animal’s environment (Umwelt) both elaborate worlds in ways complementary to each other, as constructed and plural frameworks of meaning, sense, and practice. Dr. Lopez argues that we can draw important insights for traveling to the worlds of animals from both Lugones and Uexküll. The former can help us more fully, openly, and lovingly understand animals as subjects of worlds who participate in their construction, while the latter can help us reinterpret ethological research to understand how animals construct worlds, how we are constructed in them, and what kinds of alternative constructions and worlds are possible between humans and animals.

Percussion Camp for high school students includes instruction on how to successfully prepare and audition to become a collegiate music major. The workshop focuses on the four primary percussion instruments: Mallets (2 and 4 mallets), Timpani, Snare Drum, and Drum Set, as well as insight into applications, scholarships, equipment, and skills in being a college student.

Spend a week honing your craft on the beautiful CSU campus! Auditioned students will perform a solo in our beautiful Recital Hall. Participants will also take voice lessons with CSU faculty, and participate in workshops, masterclasses, and talkbacks, including 'Conquering the College Audition.
