The past few years haven’t been an easy time to champion civil discourse in America, but several CSU students are taking on the challenge. Last month, four student interns with CSU’s Center for Public Deliberation (CPD) were invited to the inaugural Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Ithaca Initiative National Student Dialogue in Wilmington, Delaware.
Through a co-taught course between philosophy and computer science at CSU, computer science students are asked to grapple with whether or not the technology they produce serves as an effective extension of human values and morals.
On Thursday, March 3, the CSU Department of Political Science hosted a virtual discussion of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, hoping to answer questions about what led to the war, how it may proceed, and what may be the consequences.
