History

Thomas K. McQueen graduated from Colorado State University in 1971 with a B.A. in Political Science. While at CSU, he was an honorary Pi Alpha Sigma. Tom went on to study law at DePaul University College of Law, where he was an editor of the DePaul Law Review and an honorary Pi Gamma Mu. After receiving his J.D., Tom as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois for five years and for 28 years thereafter, he was a litigation partner at two of Chicago's major law firms. In 2007, he founded his own firm where he focuses on white collar criminal defense, corporate compliance and complex civil litigation. This scholarship is given in recognition and appreciation of, and with deep respect for, the academic preparation, educational challenge and mentoring provided Tom while at CSU. Tom wishes to support CSU students majoring in Political Science and help them achieve their academic goals as well as experience successful careers. He believes in a strong liberal arts education that affords a student the skills of critical thinking, a life-long quest for knowledge and a broad view of the world.
