History

Matthew P. Shoup is a CSU alumnus who graduated in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and Human Development and Family Studies. He studied abroad in Alcala' de Henares, Spain through the CSU Study Abroad Program in spring 2002. Matthew's experiences with the language, culture, history, and people left him with a permanent passion for spain. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide CSU students, who may not have had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain due to financial constraints, the opportunity to do so. Upon return from study in Spain, recipients of the Matt and Emily Shoup Spain Study Abroad Scholarship are required to submit a post-study abroad report to the Donor, or his representative, as well as to the Foreign Languages and Literatures department in the College of Liberal Arts.
