History

The Fred Johnson Graduate Scholarship was established to honor Professor Fred Johnson's impact as a teacher and his academic achievement as logician in the Department of Philosophy. Fred's ability to create an open and nurturing environment for his students and friends, his love of music, and his great humility, continuing wonderment, and genuine concern for his students, and his retirement were the impetus for setting up this scholarship. Johnson is an avid chamber music player and enjoys international travel.
