Established in 1991, this scholarship honors the memory of Donna Weyrick, a 1962 alumna in the Department of English. This endowed scholarship is made possible by contributions from the Weyrick family and friends.
Criteria
1) Must be a declared English major with 60 credits prior to award and a minimum of two semesters remaining 2) Must exhibit the traits of integrity and respect for country 3) Must demonstrate a GPA of 3.0 or better 4) Must demonstrate financial need
History
Faculty, staff, alumni and friends recognize the importance of scholarships in encouraging students to aim for excellence. The generous gifts from individual members of these various groups allow us to provide financial support for students who have demonstrated superior achievements or skills, thereby encouraging their continued efforts and the overall atmosphere of vigorous research and creativity. The criteria for this scholarship are established at the college level, and a committee of faculty from various departments selects the recipient.
