Biography

Dr. Emily Wilson is an archaeologist interested in the civilizations of the Mediterranean, specifically Ancient Greece and Anatolia.  She has excavated in Italy, Greece, and Turkey.  She received her B.A. from the University of Colorado, M.A.’s from CU and the University of Chicago , and her PhD from the University of Chicago.  Her research focuses upon the intersection of trade and religion in Ancient Anatolia and how it manifested and encouraged the expression of an Ionian Greek identity from c. 800-500 BCE.
