Biography

Suzanne has over twenty-five years of experience working for academic art museums. She was promoted to Associate Director & Senior Collections Manager of the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art at Colorado State University in 2026, having served as the Registrar/Collections Manager since 2008. She was the Registrar/Collections Manager at the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art at Kansas State University in Manhattan 1999-2008.

She has a BA in art history and fine art from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas, an MA in museum education from The University of Texas at Austin and an MFA in painting from Kansas State University. She volunteers as a museum grant reviewer; mentors collection interns and teaches a CSU course annually on managing museum collections.

Suzanne is a leader in the museum field. She was Chair of Collections Stewardship (formerly the Registrars Committee) of the American Alliance of Museums 2015-2017 and prior to that served as the professional network's Development Chair 2007-2015. She is actively involved with the Association of Collections Specialists (ARCS), serving on the Nominations Committee and Global Connections Task Force from 2019-2021, and as the Chair of the Fundraising Subcommittee from 2021-2024.

In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys playing tennis and is a lifetime member of the United States Tennis Association.
