Biography

Paula Izquierdo García is an instructor specializing in Spanish for Specific Purposes at Colorado State University as well as curriculum and materials designer. She holds an M.A. degree in  TESOL from West Virginia University and an M.A. degree in Languages, Literatures and Cultures with an emphasis in Spanish from Colorado State University. She earned a bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting (English and French) from Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. Her research focuses on vocabulary acquisition, second language learning, and the integration of virtual reality in LSP. In addition to her instructional and research work, she has helped with curriculum design and assessment for the Graduate Certificateof spanish for the Veterinary Professionals and has worked with CSU Online to create online versions of the certificate’s courses.
