Matt VanderMeulen is an Academic Success Coordinator for Sociology in the College of Liberal Arts.
Matt obtained his MFA in Creative Writing from West Virginia University and his Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University. Prior to joining the ASC team, he spent several years in the field of education as an instructor, advisor, and administrator at colleges across the country. He has taught various levels of academic writing and literature, as well as study skills classes, and has extensive work as a tutor and a Tutoring Center Director. He most enjoys connecting with students and helping them locate their talents and brilliance.
Matt enjoys his life at home with his wife, their three dogs, and two cats. They frequent the local parks and food scene, movies, and love to get out to the mountains when the weather permits.
