Ella is an Academic Success Coordinator working with students in the Communications Studies major. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Leisure, Youth and Human Services (with emphases in Programming and Outdoor Recreation) and a Master of Arts in Education in Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Before working at CSU, she held a variety of advising roles at several universities in the Midwest advising majors in the College of Arts and Sciences; Department of Industrial Technology and College of Nursing. What Ella finds most rewarding in her role is building a relationship with her students and seeing them succeed at accomplishing their academic and career goals. She strives to help students discover their strengths and interests and utilize that information to start focusing on specific career goals. Ella believes that college is a time to explore different interests and encourages her students take advantage of their time at CSU getting involved on campus, in the community, and globally.
Outside of work, Ella enjoys hiking, biking, reading and traveling. She also loves music; either catching a live show, dancing with her daughters or playing her fiddle with friends.
