Kristie Coleman is an Academic Success Coordinator for Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts. She has worked in higher education for nearly 30 years in various roles including teaching freshman English Composition courses at Tulsa Community College and the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, OK; administration and advising at Tulsa Community College; and advising at Colorado State University.
Kristie earned her Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Tulsa and her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. She relocated from Broken Arrow, OK, to Fort Collins in 2025 and joined the College of Liberal Arts advising team in March of 2026. As an Academic Success Coordinator, Kristie loves creating relationships with students, helping them navigate the intricacies of higher education while empowering them to identify and reach their goals.
Outside of work, Kristie enjoys everything food-related (trying different cuisines and restaurants, watching cooking shows, and spending time in the kitchen experimenting with newly discovered recipes), traveling, live music, hiking, camping, doing word puzzles, and spending time with her partner and, when possible, her daughter, who is a student studying English at Bryn Mawr College outside of Philadelphia, PA.
