Biography

BIOGRAPHY

I was born in South Korea but lived most of my life in the United States.  I received my formal undergraduate training from CSU and graduate training from Florida State University.  During my time as an undergrad at CSU, I primarily focused on neoclassical economic theory, mathematics, statistics, public administration, and classical Greek philosophy.  My training at FSU mostly revolved around studying economic and econometric theory.  I am currently a third year PhD student within the economics department at CSU.

INTERESTS

My specific areas of interest are applied microeconomics, microeconomic theory, public economics, health economics, labor economics, urban economics, economics of education,  auctions and contests, and CGE modeling.  I like to focus on policy oriented issues related to the affordability and access to healthcare.  Currently, I work as a research assistant for an incredibly talented project team within the National Wildlife Research Center USDA branch.   In general, the NWRC project team focuses on studying the impact of animals on communities within the United States.

LEISURE

On my free time I enjoy going to gyms, learning how to create fancy looking tables/documents in LaTeX, and aimlessly frolicking around in Stack Overflow.
