Biography

Curiosity may have killed the cat, but curiosity gives me life. I have done many things over the decades, from working with homeless people in Atlanta, political refugees in the hills of Georgia, wild birds throughout the Western U.S., and college students in Colorado. I love to learn. I am currently learning how to be an urban farmer (Sunspot Urban Farm in Fort Collins) and to publicly perform my folk songs (rod-adams.squarespace.com). When I teach in the college classroom, I aim to connect with students' lived experience, to evoke their curiosity about how their study of Western philosophy can enhance their daily lives.
