We have reached crunch time for the climate crisis and this profound ethical challenge demands new institutions to address it. In this talk, Dr. Stephen Gardiner proposes that humanity should hold a global constitutional convention, similar to the American constitutional convention of 1787. This deliberative forum would both confront the “governance gap” that prevents us from addressing the interests of young people and future generations and propose solutions to this worldwide issue.
