Joins us at the Fort Garland Museum and Cultural Center for a 3 hour creative writing workshop inspired by the history and natural landscape and setting of the place. Led by State Historian Jared Orsi and Poet Jodie Hollander, this workshop will begin with an exhibit tour of Unsilenced: Indigenous Enslavement in Southern Colorado with Jared followed by a brief poetry lesson with Jodie. Participants will have an opportunity to reflect and write their own poetry in response to the exhibit. This is a free event with for ages 16 and up.
