CSU Ethical Practices in Journalism Award

Criteria

1) Pursuing a degree in Journalism and Media Communications within the College of Liberal Arts 2) Be nominated by an advisor or a Journalism and Media Communications instructor; self-nominations must be accompanied by endorsements from a CSU faculty member 3) Exemplify strong ethical practices in media or make ethical decisions as a student journalist; as demonstrated by selecting one or more of the four major principles in the SPJ Code of Ethics to submit as an example of how their ethical decision or practice lived up to the principles of the code - submission may be a letter or email of 700 words or less

History

The purpose of the Fund is to recognize and award an outstanding student in the College of Liberal Arts who is majoring in Journalism and Media Communications at Colorado State University and who exemplifies the principles set forth in the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics (SPJ).
