Biography

Zoey Rosen comes from the University of Nevada, Reno where she received a B.S. in atmospheric science with minors in communication studies and mathematics. Throughout her studies, Zoey was always left with the question “How does what I’m learning affect others?” This curiosity for social impact and passion for physical sciences led her to intern in the Office of Communications for the National Weather Service. With an interest in severe weather and public safety, Zoey aims to combine her love of writing and science into her graduate research for her Master’s degree. In the future, Zoey hopes stay close to the meteorology field, either working in forensic meteorology, as a public communication officer, or as a writer/editor for a trade magazine. Until then, you can find Zoey in one of the local coffee shops with her head in her books or in the clouds.
