Biography
Mary is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at CSU. Her areas of focus are Political Theory, Environmental Politics, and International Relations. She is a critical theorist and an environmental political theorist with expertise in environmental justice, decolonial political theory, affect, the politics of climate change, as well as contemporary and historical political thought. Her research centers around developing a theory of radical ecopessimism. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and French from the University of Colorado in Denver, and her M.A. in Politics and International Affairs from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Outside of her graduate work, she is a Review Editor for OutdoorGearLab.
