Biography
Hi, My name is Wisnu. I was earned my Master of Science in Economics at the University of Illinois, Urbana Campaign, USA. I was a Lecturer and Researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB – UGM, Indonesia) before coming here to CSU for PhD. I work mainly on development economics area At the university or any consultation I've done. Grew up in suburban Jakarta (Capital of Indonesia) make me see the problem of economics development differently and its motivates me to study economic more in order to tackle those development problem. I've been do some research collaborative with my colleague in the area of development economics, specifically on poverty and human capital issues. First Generation Story
I am first generation son that went to PhD level education in our family. Moreover I am the first person in my family that went abroad for education. In our small family, education is important. Thus, some of us got undergraduate degree or even master degree. However, I am the first person that reach PhD level and went abroad to get it. It is really big opportunity for since I never imagine that during my childhood. Hopefully I can successfully finish the education and inspired other young people in my family or community to reach higher degree of education.
