Biography

Tara O Connor Shelley is an Associate Professor of Sociology and a member of the Center for the Study of Crime and Justice (CSCJ) at Colorado State University. She received her Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida State University and her M.S. in Justice, Law and Society from the American University. She has worked for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Police Executive Research Forum, and the Justice Research and Statistics Association. Her current research interests include environmental crime and justice, green criminology, police and society, punitive attitudes, and pharmacy crime. In 2009, she was the recipient of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) and SAGE Junior Faculty Teaching Award.
