Hello! My name is Talia Marquez. My emphasis for my undergrad was broadcast television. I found through anchoring KU’s student news station that I am not interested in doing news in the future. I have a passion for sports journalism and hope that will be my future.

I have run track throughout my college career and am still running here at CSU. With that said, I have not had the time for any professional experience outside of school. However, the University of Kansas has an incredible Journalism program and after leaving I realize that I am much more experienced than I thought. I understand the ins and outs of a typical newsroom, from an on camera perspective as well as behind the scenes.

My research interests include gender equality within the sporting industry for I have noticed that is very prominent and can help me with my career goals.
