Shannon Dale joined the Division of Advancement at Colorado State University in 2014, and the College of Liberal Arts in January 2017. She holds a B.A. in English and French from Elmhurst College, where she studied abroad in Oxford, England at the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and in Montpellier, France. She earned her M.A. in English with a specialization in rhetoric and composition from Colorado State University in 2014. Prior to joining the Liberal Arts team, she worked in CSU's College of Health and Human Sciences as their Development Operations Coordinator, where she coordinated donor events, wrote and designed development communications pieces, and supervised development student workers. As the Assistant Director of Development, Shannon now leverages her communications and public relations experience to develop annual giving materials and programming for the College, crafts development communications, and writes proposals. Her deep appreciation for the Liberal Arts was born out of a childhood spent writing stories for her grandfather, performing in musical groups and in local theatre productions, and from many hours spent in the library where she fell in love with reading. She is proud to utilize her diverse liberal arts background to support the College of Liberal Arts and CSU.
