Biography

I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor of science in Visual Communication Technology in 2008. I worked for a year as a graphic designer and in 2009 moved to Colorado to work for Greeley Area Habitat for Humanity. Last year I started at CSU to get a masters degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education. During my first semester, I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in University Marketing/Communications and a degree in Technical Communications would be more beneficial. My major goal for grad school is to finish my classes by the end of Spring 2014 and complete my thesis by the end of Summer 2014. I hope to gain valuable communication and technical knowledge that will help me in my future career as either a Marketing/Communication Professional for a University and/or a Web Developer (which has become an interest as a result of a summer Internship with the Marketing Department for Housing and Dining at CSU). My research interests are in the area of computer-mediated communication. I am leaning toward researching information design as related to website development in some fashion.
