Biography
I was born and raised in northern Virginia, and received my B.A. in Linguistics and French from William & Mary. I recently relocated here to Fort Collins to pursue my M.A in Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Langauge (TESL/TEFL).
During my undergrad, I spent time traveling all over Europe to study language and culture. In particular, I spent 3 months studying abroad in Florence, Italy and 8 months in Montpellier, France. My goal is to be able to travel around the world teaching English and training teachers in other countries.
Some of my professional research interests include Writing Center pedagogy, second language writing and contrastive rhetoric, psycholinguistics, and computational linguistics.
When I'm not working on my M.A. research or teaching, you can probably find me at the gym or outdoors. For the last two years, I worked as an Assistant Manager for a gym in Charlotte, NC - one of my all-time favorite jobs! I love to stay active and healthy - what better place to do that than CO?
