I'm originally from a small town called Lake Ariel, northeast of Scranton, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Wallenpaupack Area High School in 2008, and graduated from my undergrad at Defiance College (in Defiance, Ohio) in 2013. Immediately after graduation, I enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a linguist until 2015, when I was injured and honorably discharged. A maintenance job at a shipping warehouse followed suit before I told myself to take some chances and apply to grad school. I did, so here I am, and this is in no small part to one of my undergrad mentors, a rhetorician, who told me, "[You]'d be a fool not to go to CSU." On some days, I leap out of bed with the intention of being the hero this city deserves. On other days, I crawl out of bed because I know I'll be fired if I don't. But then again, that's life, right?
