Biography
Hello, my name is Henry Miller. I grew up in rural Nebraska and proudly identify as a plains person. During my undergraduate career my first love was sociology, but I quickly discovered speech communication was a more appropriate match for my interdisciplinary hopes of understanding the human experience and connecting with others. After several semesters as a student-athlete, I traveled abroad to Taiwan and China and a passion for intercultural and gender communication developed. Currently, my primary research interests revolve around gender inequity and post-industrial masculine rhetoric. Advocacy for social justice is a central tenet in my life, and I greatly value transformational learning. I enjoy hiking, reading, running, cooking, riding horses and spending time with friends and family.
