Chris DeRosier is a doctoral student at Colorado State University. His primary research interests focus on media management, particularly startups and how their innovations are transmitted into the greater media landscape. Other interests include ethics and source credibility issues in commercial journalism and editorial endorsement.

Chris was a working journalist before returning to education. His professional career began as a magazine staff writer in Springfield, Mo. before founding local music news website TheFourFour.com, which expanded to become TAG Media in 2010. After coming to higher education in 2012 he helped develop and launch Missouri Business Alert, a site for statewide business news run in partnership with the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
