As a previous intern at the Central City Opera, Spoleto Festival USA, and Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, Dr. Antonio C. Cuyler understands well the value internships hold for arts management students’ professional development. His passion for students and their internship experiences in arts management has inspired a robust research agenda on the topic, which has led to publications in the American Journal of Arts Management, Cultural Management: Science and Education, ENCATC Journal of Cultural Management & Policy, and International Journal of Arts Management. He has also contributed to an amicus brief to the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in support of Eric Glatt regarding the infamous Fox Searchlight Pictures case. Previous to joining the LEAP faculty as an instructor for the Internship and Internship Seminar, Dr. Cuyler held faculty positions at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), American University, and Purchase College, SUNY. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Arts Administration & Coordinator of the MA Program at Florida State University (FSU) where he also earned his Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in Arts Administration.
