Music student receives national O.A.K.E. scholarship

music studentFor the second time in a month, a CSU Music master’s student has been selected to receive a prestigious national scholarship from the Organization of American Kodály Educators (O.A.K.E.).

Brooke May, M.M. Music Education Specialization, Kodály Option, has been awarded O.A.K.E.’s Jenö Ádám Scholarship, which will subsidize her Level 2 Kodály training this summer. Ms. May teaches music at Lakeview Elementary School in Albert Lea, Minnesota

“This is really fantastic news for Brooke, and also for the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at CSU,” said Dr. Bonnie Jacobi, associate professor of music and director of the Colorado Kodály Institute at CSU.
