Folk Songs and Fiddle Tunes

The program will open with Jack Jarrett’s “American Folk Song Suite” and conclude with “Prairie Night and Celebration” from Aaron Copland’s ballet Billy the Kid, both works conducted by Leslie Stewart. It will also include the world premiere of “Cumber Teeth,” written by the orchestra’s concertmaster and professional fiddle player, Casey Lee, and conducted by Andrew Mendizabal, orchestra graduate teaching assistant.

While there are no in-person events this spring, students, family, friends, and arts patrons can access live-streamed and/or on-demand performances created by the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Livestreams will be hosted on our Vimeo account and access will be provided through https://csuartstickets.universitytickets.com/. *Date, time, and program subject to change.

Ticket sales for live-streamed events end 15-minutes prior to the start of the performance.
