Welcome to the 2017 CSU Marching Band Audition page!

We are thrilled that you want to join us for an exciting season with the CSU Marching Band. From performances in front of millions of fans annually, to travel to cheer on our teams, and an awesome scholarship program, there are many great reasons to be part of our band family!

All sections of the band are open to students from any major, and any high school band experience. Because every student in the band receives a scholarship for their participation in the band, we audition each section. Brass and woodwinds need to prepare a two minute solo of your choosing. Percussionists need to check out the links in the column to the left and prepare the listed audition materials. Color Guard auditions consist of dance and movement, as well as flag exercises that you will learn at the audition.

If you are still looking for more information about the band, I encourage you explore our website at bands.colostate.edu. Click on "Marching Band" or spend some time learning about the other ensemble opportunites at CSU. If you ever have questions about the CSU Marching Band, please contact either Anthony Lederhos, Athletic Bands Support Specialist (anthony.lederhos@colostate.edu), or myself (richard.frey@colostate.edu).
