CSU Trumpet Day

Welcome to CSU Trumpet Day!

2024 CSU Trumpet Day graphicThe event is designed for trumpet players of ALL AGES AND EXPERIENCE who are looking for an in-person event that inspires their love of music and all things trumpet.

Trumpet students, teachers, performers, and band directors in Colorado are invited to attend this annual event hosted by CSU trumpet professor, Dr. Stanley Curtis, and features special guests Dr. Chloe Swindler and Gabriel Mervine to talk about their careers and ideas on trumpet playing.

Étude Competition

The Trumpet Day Étude Competition is open to all high school trumpeters with a prize of $300. Students must submit a recording of their étude with their registration by midnight, Sunday, Feb. 25. Up to eight finalists will be accepted to the final live round.
