DESCRIPTION:Community Meet &amp\; Greet: Ricardo Simmonds\n\nThe CSU Depart
 ment of Philosophy invites our local faith and secular community members t
 o join us for a Meet &amp\; Greet with each of the four finalists for the 
 Willette Professorship in Catholic Studies. All engagement events will be 
 held in the Seminar Room of the Smith Alumni Center (701 W. Pitkin St\, Ca
 nvas Stadium).\n\nOn Monday\, March 28\, we welcome Ricardo Simmonds\, a P
 hD candidate in Environmental Studies at the University of Colorado.\n\nAn
  expert in Catholic integral ecology\, Mr. Simmonds’ research focuses on
  Catholic Philosophy and Theology as applied to environmental studies. Wit
 h wide ranging interests in the engagement of religion and modernity\, he 
 publishes regularly on the environment\, theology\, and philosophy as a pr
 ofessional advisor for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).\n\
 nHe is the founder of Creatio\, an environmental non-profit that engages t
 hought\, prayer\, and service to the poor in ecological activities. Throug
 h Creatio and the USCCB Environmental Justice Program he directs the Lauda
 to Si’Advocates Program which provides paid environmental policy and adv
