As part of centering Black women during both Black History Month and Women’s History Month, instructor of Ethnic Studies, Aaunterria Bollinger-Deters has tasked her ETST: 411 Black Feminisms students with generating questions and leading a “round table” style conversation about Black women in higher education, entitled: The Things They Don’t Tell You: A Panel About Black Women in Higher Education.
For this event she has gathered panelists from differing institutions, disciplines, professions, and academic levels to offer up their voices, expertise, and wisdom about their experiences as Black women in higher education.
Through questions about self-love, community, racism, sexism, mentorship, success, isolation, and fear, we intend to create a resource for those currently in the realm of higher education as well as those questioning whether it is truly for them.

Distinguished Guests:

Gabbea Williams, Corey Evans, Marcela Riddick, Micaela Parker, E. Atiya “Tiya” Hodges, Laterriea Martin, and Lakendria Kenner

Panel One is being held this Thursday 2/25 from 11am-1pm (MST)
