Is the College of Liberal Arts at Colorado State University the place for you?

We hope so, and our current students think it is.  Roll over their picture to learn how they feel about the College of Liberal Arts and Colorado State University.

Choosing Sociology as my major during my sophomore year has proven to be the most valuable decision during my time at CSU. I thoroughly enjoy the dedicated professors and staff within the department of Sociology as well as my other College of Liberal Arts professors in our departments such as Anthropology, Ethnic Studies, Psychology and Political Science. My professors are dedicated to building relationships; they are my teachers, friends and mentors. I enjoy working with them as the undergraduate representative for the Sociology Department Council. Through Sociology professor Lori Peek's dedication and encouragement, I have even accepted to present my senior Honors Thesis at the Midwestern Sociological Society annual meeting in April in Chicago. I plan to take my education from CSU and continue to law school in the fall of 2007.

Colorado State University is simply fantastic. During my time here I have come to respect the faculty and students on both personal, but more importantly, professional levels. I have witnessed the quality of research and teaching firsthand and am lucky to have had the opportunity to become part of it. The faculty have striven to promote not only my academic growth, but also valued me as an individual. One of the greatest strengths of this university and its faculty stems for the fact that never have I been chastised or looked down upon. I have always been treated as an intellectual equal. This atmosphere of mutual respect is something I will take with me and cherish through all future steps in my life.

Abe Thompson - Anthropology
I've had a great experience at CSU. There are many different ways to get involved and meet people, and the personable feel of campus and greater Fort Collins help make for an easy transition to college. Even though it is a large university, I've developed many close relationships with many of my professors, and this has definitely been the best part of my education here. I've been greatly influenced by the number of wonderful, helpful, and supportive faculty and staff members who are truly "gems" of the University. At CSU, students have the freedom to shape their college experience into what they're looking for, and the professors and staff are instrumental in making this happen.
