Biography

Ms. Gensmer is an archaeologist interested in the archaeology of the Great Plains and Rocky Mountains. Her research includes investigations into saloon and leisure culture in American West as well as cultural resource management. She has seven years of professional experience in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, and North Dakota performing historic and archaeological investigations. Her expertise includes historic and prehistoric site survey and excavation, Level II and HABS/HAER documentation, historic structure documentation and assessment, archival research, historic and prehistoric artifact analysis, archaeological textile analysis, and technical document preparation. She has prepared over 25 technical reports in the field of cultural resource management. Ms. Gensmer is also the president and co-owner of Centennial Archaeology, LLC, which is a Cultural Resource Management consulting firm specializing in archaeological and historical resources and compliance with federal and state environmental and historic preservation regulations.
