Biography

Hsin Chen is currently a first year graduate student in the Department of Journalism and Media Communication to pursue her M.S. in Public Communication and Technology. She is a Graduate Teaching Assistant under Prof. Darrell Blair in JTC 300.  She received her B.A. in Foreign Language and Literature at Tunghai University in Taiwan. She also enrolled in the International Business Program when she was an undergraduate. After she obtained her B.A., she worked at Office of Global Affairs at Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan for two and a half years. Her research interests pertain to social media and public relations. She thinks that mass media exerts profound influence on humans, while public relations professionals play a pivotal role in society. She aspires to be a public relations expert who can effectively communicate for her organization, and to be a media worker who can bring positive energy to society.
